U.S. Department of State: Condeleeza Rice on North Korea
Oct 2006 - Before heading to East Asia and Russia, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice addressed the situation in North Korea. After deliberately defying the international community through its missile and nuclear testing, Rice says North Korea must pay the consequences as drafted in Resolution 1718. The secretary confirmed the purpose of her upcoming trip saying she will rally for international support and enforce the need to implement 1718 and other defensive measures.
